OKAY.It's time to rant against something I really hate. Todays topic: Political Correctness.
I have said for a while that the liberals are hypocritical. This is perhaps BEST shown in the stylings of "THE PC LINE" *echo effect*. What IS political correctness. Well, according to the semi-moderate wikipedia it is "a term used to describe language that is calculated to provide a minimum of offense, particularly to the racial, cultural, or other identity groups being described." Let's cut through the bullshit, yeah? The PC line is liberal censorship. For as much as liberals say that people have the right to think whatever they want, they don't actually want this. So what do they do? They make it so that only certain words can be used to describe certain things. It's a very underhanded way of making people back themselves into a corner. "Black" is now "African American". "Gay" is now "Homosexual". "Bloated PMS Bitch" is now "Feminist".
Don't get me wrong, I understand it's not okay to call people fags or n****** (not gonna drop that word, even on my site). But the point of polical correctness is not to make things less offensive. It's to completely remove the labeling of things. Sure, sounds nice. Until you remember you live in REALITY. No matter what the intent, or the situation, or anything else, everything is something. This seems like a pretty obvious statement, but the left tends to forget this. No matter how you try to change the wording, some things are just that way, let it be societal, personal, political, etc. Black communities have higher crime rate then white communities. Factual? Yes. PC? Nope. That's fine with me though.
I am against the Bush administrations views on censorship. That being said, however, I am also against the lefts idea of what's okay and what's not. I have my own viewpoints, my own way of expressing them, and I'll be damned if some guy in a suit is going to tell me how or what to say.
| I love debating.
However, unlike most people with a strong view, I don't like
surrounding myself with people who agree. True, I get really annoyed by
liberals. But, it's worse then watching yourself get exactly the
reaction you like.

| Get a thought, post your blog, watch it grow, x-x-x-xanga!
Okay, yeah, been gone a while. No really new or appreciated thoughts have entered this asian head of mine for quite some time (Mom: STOP SQUINTING! Me: I'M ASIAN!).
I have been thinking about relationships for a while. HAHAHA. Wonder why. The question I have always wondered is simply "Why do girls hate me so?" Well, I think I may have figured it out.
First off, I was wrong. Girls DON'T hate me. They, along with most people, tend to like me alot right off the bat. I have learned that I have a lot of natural charisma. I'm small. I'm unthreatening. I'm "cute". I'm a f***ing CHIHUAHUA apparently. However, this charisma comes with a downside. Girls go WAY too fast into the "let's just be friends" stage. It doesn't help that I'm not trying to get into their pants, my celibacy really only seems to speed up this annoying process.
I have literally gone into the "friends" phase in 1 week. That is pathetic.
Ah well. There is always sweet, sweet alchohol.
| Well, in all the hubbub (teeheehee) of real life, I forgot about the existence of Xanga. Let's do a simple posting, alright?
I am seeing the liberals attacking one Ann Coutler for some statements she made. She called some widows of 9/11 and the war "attention whores". A little far? Yes. True? Definitely. Look at Cindy Sheehan. A woman so whiney she drove away her husband, siblings, and parents. When your FATHER says to stfu, you should stfu.
I hear the attacks at her coming from all angles, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC. I have even heard these stations supporting a new bill to BAN her books in some states. Here's my question: can the left get any more hypocritical? Sure, Coutler edged the line with that statement. Yes, she probably would have been better off not saying anything at all. But where were these so called reporters when Ward Churchill called the victims of 9/11 "Little Eichmans"? As I recall, they supported it as "Free Speech". So why, pray tell, can someone who is payed for by the STATE, to teach our children thought processes and logic on social issues say what can very well be considered a hate speech against all white collar workers, yet an independent writer who is not signed to any tenure held to such a stricter code of conduct? This seems backwards to me.
But no, the left probably already has an excuse, whether it be race, gender (I'd like to see them pull this off), or what have you. The reason: flying under the flag of liberalism is a social "Get Out Of Jail Free" card. One can say, do, or act on just about anything. The media will not hinder you. On the contrary, they will probably support you! You can nail a flag to the floor and call it art (yes, this has been done), talk about how infants have no right to life, etc. But if you're a conservative, don't you DARE talk smack about anything.
gg liberals. | | |
| Awesome. Been some time. Let's piss people off.
People in America think they have too many rights. Marriage is not a
right. It is a religious institution. Retirement is not a right. It is
earned. The ability to live and die is not a right. It is up to God (or
nature, whichever you prefer).
There. Think about that.
